Let’s get to know the Geekbench 4 App.
To keep up with the ever changing CPU and GPU technology, the developers of Geekbench have updated the app to include new CPU tests that model real-world tasks and applications. These updated tests are designed to accurately evaluate CPU performance, and every test is “multi-core aware,” allowing for the benchmark test to measure the full potential of the device CPU.
Geekbench 4 also includes new GPU compute tests, that help you know the processing power of the GPU of your mobile device. From an aesthetic point of view, the app has also been updated and now features Material Design elements throughout the interface. Unfortunately, the Geekbench battery test that was available with the previous iteration of the app doesn’t seem to be there anymore.
If you already have the Geekbench 3 app downloaded on your device, updating it will bring you the latest version, and if you don’t, you can download Geekbench 4 directly from the Google Play Store. Geekbench 4 is compatible with Android devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher.
